Happy hibiscus on a dull december day!

It was cold and a bit dull outside today, so I perched on the back of the sofa and leaning against the window I marvelled at the flower’s my trusty old hibiscus pot plant has produced. Notice I say flower’s because, yes, there are two glorious pink blooms which have opened at the same time! Tuesday, and the hibiscus are fully out, they seem to open and curl back and then straighten up.
I love how intricate and delicately they are formed, and yet they are so bold and brave.The flowers are only there for a day or so, then they curl up as carefully as they unfurled, each petal twisting in on itself, it seems to hang there and hold it’s breath for a moment before it finally falls.
