I am pleased to find a good path along the edge of a field leading to the other end of Heartwood Forest. I have walked this way before but it used to be ankle twistingly rutted and bumpy and overgrown, but it seems to have smoothed out now somehow!

There is a large oak tree at the edge of the path and it makes a good place to sit down and draw a sketch. There are a few last bluebells just going over.
