Rhubarb and Herons

Sunday evening. April 10th. I am sitting by the veggie patch in a beautiful garden in Essex. In front of me there is wonderful bright red rhubarb with fresh green leaves, grown under the old clay pots. Beyond, are two ornamental herons, the sort you put by a pond to scare off the real ones. Unfortunately the real herons where not fooled and have managed to eat every last fish! So these two are now stood gazing out over the fields.
