Been busy this summer getting ready to take part in this years Herts Open Studios season. I have got some new giclee prints and cards made from my sketchbook drawings.
I hope dad will be smiling down! He always said he liked my sketchbooks better than any of my other paintings, and he often begged me to “do something with them”. He was frustrated that I always painted across the binding in the middle of the pages and to make it worse I worked on both sides of the paper, so I couldn’t take the pictures out of the books!
Now I am getting the pages reproduced as museum quality giclee’s, printed on archival paper, so I can share them with the world!
Open Saturdays 12-6pm, sundays and thursdays 2-7pm, through september. 11,Cotswold Close, St Albans, AL4 9SU look for the yellow flags!
Hi Gerry, its Catherine (student from SJL who came to look around on Saturday), I’ve been looking at your blog and it is very lovely – just like your work! Thank you so much for being so kind and lovely on Saturday (it was my first open studios!) and I absolutely loved looking around your flat and taking a look at your sketchbooks. I’m about to do a sketchbook page about you soon and my open studios visit, so if you would like I could email you a picture so you could see? Once again, thank you for being so nice and I love the blog!
